Before she was an immigration attorney, Arunima Datta was an immigrant. That experience shapes everything about how she practices law — the empathy she brings, the preparation she prioritizes, and the clarity she provides at every step.

Arunima earned her law degree and began her legal career as a paralegal in high-volume immigration law firms, where she developed deep expertise across the full range of immigration matters. She went on to found AKT Law, LLC to offer the kind of personal, strategy-driven representation she believes every immigration client deserves.

Prior to founding AKT Law, Arunima served as Senior Associate Attorney at Saltzman & Evinch, PLLC, and held positions at several respected immigration practices including Butzel Long and Frank & Delaney Immigration Law. Her experience spans industries including technology, finance, healthcare, and academic research.

Today, she helps individuals, families, and employers with family-based petitions, employment visas (H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, E-2), green card applications, naturalization, asylum, VAWA, U visas, and more. She is known for thorough preparation, honest case assessments, and responsive communication.
